Bad habits

I can't really say how this made the news because I figured most people know this, but if you smoke, drink excessively, and are lazy, your life expectancy is lowered by 12 years. I know this is shocking, but its a fact (they researched it in Chicago using British people). Smoking causes a tar buildup in the lungs which leads to breathing problems; it also may cause pretty much every cancer imaginable. It is said that drinking one glass of red wine every night is good for you, but too much more than that and you eliminate a few years. Laziness causes a lack of exercise which allows your body to burn off those calories from the delicious cookies you had with lunch today.

I must say I don't agree completely with this. Smoking takes way more than 12 years (every pack of cigarettes or it could be every cigarette smoked takes away 14 minutes of life). An occassional drink is good for a person (I guess I wouldn't know) but from what I hear that's correct. Also, there's nothing wrong with getting some exercise. Most people I know feel better if they go for a jog between homeword assignments or just jog for fun.

  1. i agree somewhat with this. I think smokeing is bad and can lead to cancers and lung issues. But also heart problems! Smoking has so many negatives and very little possitives. Drinking a glass every day is supost to help your liver or some major organs? but i do know to much can put you into a coma, or even kill you, and add failures to your important organs. You only have one life to live, make the best and healthy choices for your life.
