The big news this past week has been about the oil spill near the Gulf of MExico. The source is pumping out thousands of gallons of oil each day into the ocean. Soon, if not already, the oil has reached the coast as many residents mention that they can already smell it. There is a growing concern for how to end the pumping oil.
My concern is for the wildlife. How many endangered species will become extinct? How many endangered? Marine life and birds and other creatures will all be affected by the spill. This will hurt the southern states economically also because people don't want to visit a beach thats black with oil and smells gross from dead creatures washing up.
